Another amazing vet conference in picturesque Wanaka this year! Many laughs had, new knowledge learned, new connections made and ready to give the ski legs a well-deserved rest! We where incredibly lucky with the weather this year, bringing us 5 days of glorious bliss and mostly blue-bird snow days. Our speakers where amazing, starting the week with Dr Kathrin Busch giving us the latest in gastroenterology, the microbiome and faecal microbiota transplants. Dr Matt Annear got us up to date on ophthalmology and eye surgery, before Dr Mark Westman closed out the week with the latest on FIV, FeLV and how to apply research into practice. Beyond hitting the slopes and learning lots, we had a great turnout for the annual ‘pool comp’, got to sweat out the ski legs at the ‘secret sauna’, and finished the week strong at the ‘heroes & villains’ conference dinner & dance party. Massive thanks to our organisers, speakers, and of course all the attendees that made this year’s conference one to remember. Time to now let the legs (and head) recover, and can’t wait to see everyone at one of our vet conferences in 2026 – it’s sure to be another blast!!
